Basic Beliefs of Bethany christian church

We believe in and worship Jesus Christ as God's Messiah, a core aspect of our Christian beliefs. It is through acceptance of Christ that we experience a saving relationship with God, emphasizing the importance of our church community in supporting this journey. Jesus is the only way to salvation, guiding our local outreach programs and efforts to share this message.

We embrace Christian beliefs in the Trinitarian God, understood as God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit, which is a foundation for our church community and inspires our local outreach programs.

The Lord's Supper, also known as Communion, is a vital part of weekly worship within the church community and is open to all who accept the invitation of Jesus Christ. This practice reflects core Christian beliefs and supports our local outreach programs.

God's Word of love and reconciliation equips the church community with direction in mission and provides spiritual food for each person's growth and maturity in Christian beliefs, as well as supporting local outreach programs.

All Christians are called to be one in Christ and to seek opportunities for common witness and service within their church community. Both ministers and lay persons lead in worship, service, and spiritual growth, embodying the core Christian beliefs. Men, women, and youth are encouraged to serve in all facets of congregational life, including participating in local outreach programs.

As Disciples, we are called together around two essentials of faith; a belief in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and the understanding that Christians are free to follow their conscience, guided by Bible study, the Holy Spirit, and prayer. In our church community, we strive to extend both that belief and the same freedom to others through our local outreach programs.
